With a heavy heart I regret to inform you that John Andrew Meredith was killed in an auto accident while visiting Las Vegas on Friday evening (9/3/2010). He was with two of his friends Jim Seymour and Jared Lange who survived, but are hospitalized in Las Vegas.

We are all in shock. The group was gathering for their annual fantasy football weekend, with his son Johnny scheduled to join them on Saturday. They were in a taxi cab that was hit from behind.

John taught for thirty years at the Howel school district. He enjoyed music all of his life and in his retirement set up a home recording studio where he enjoyed recording his nephew's work. He remained on friendly terms with all of the Dembowski's family - helping my parents after I moved to Texas. He was my first love and father of my only child - may he rest in peace
