Retired in 2005 from 35 year career with Polk County School District. Currently have "perfect retirement job" in the early childhood department at All Saints Academy, supervising play groups of 3, 4, and 5 year olds. Butch retired last year, also from the Polk County School District (38 years) and actually went back to his old job on a part-time basis. We're just not ready for the rocking chairs..........LOL! My mom, sister, and brothers still live in the Lansing area so we're there usually a couple times a year. Even with the "retirement jobs", we find plenty of time to enjoy ourselves; we enjoy the theater, both professional and community, and we've done a little traveling: 3 weeks in Europe in 2006, 3 weeks on the west coast of the US and Canada last year. We'll be in Lansing for a couple weeks in late June then Washington, DC for the 4th of July weekend (2009), then a couple more stops on the east coast. Our tentative plan for the summer of 2010 was a 10 day trip to Egypt which turned out to be a theatre week in New York. Egypt will be a little later when things settle down there.......LOL!
